Job summary

A leading property development firm is looking for a qualified accountant to handle a full set of accounts, prepare monthly management reports, and manage financial forecasts. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the property development industry, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role. Proficiency in SQL and SAP, along with strong analytical and communication skills, is essential. This role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree in Accounting and/or professional accounting qualifications.
• At least 5 years relevant experience in property development with minimum 2 years managerial experience.
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

Job description

Handle full set of accounts, statutory accounts and oversee all related accounting functions.

Prepare monthly management report, cash flow management, forecast and budgeting.

Reviewing and analyzing monthly management accounts & expenses.

Liaison with bankers, auditor, tax agent, company secretary and etc.

Prompt submission of monthly periodical & ad hoc reports.

Preparation of the yearly accounting and presentation to external auditors.

To supervise the updating of Account Receivable, Account Payable and other subsidiary ledgers.

To perform bank account reconciliation, Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow reports, and to advise management on foreseeable cash flow requirements.

Monthly trade debtors and creditors reconciliations.

Monthly company tax and deferred tax computations.

Any ad hoc assignment assigned by the Company from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must possess minimum Degree on Accounting &/or professional accounting qualification(s).

At least 5 years relevant working experience in property development industry with minimum 2 years managerial experience is required.

Experience in liaising with Ministry of Housing is an added advantage.

Competent in Microsoft EXCEL & WORD.

Accounting & Finance exposure in overseas property development industry is added advantage.

Be able to work on feasibility studies, budgets and cashflow projections independently.

Working knowledge in computerized accounting software such as SQL and SAP is a must.

Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in English (verbal and written).
