Job summary

A logistics company in Klang City is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee P&L reporting and manage daily accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of managerial experience, preferably in the freight and logistics sector. Responsibilities include financial reporting, vendor management, and ad-hoc tasks. A diploma or degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are essential for this role.

Job description

Responsible for P&L Reporting and management of the company accounts.

Daily, weekly and monthly reporting to superiors in accordance with Company requirements.

Handling full sets of accounts including invoicing to customer, vendor invoice verification and maintaining contract costing sheets.

Liaising with external auditors, Tax agents and Company Secretary for audit and other reporting functions.

Processing and payment for vendor invoices, statutory payment and employee claims.

Manage for daily accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger entries.

Perform month-end closing of accounts, raising journal entries for revenue and accruals, depreciation and other recurring items.

Undertake ad-hoc assignments or tasks as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years of managerial experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably within an SME environment.
  • Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field/professional qualification (ie: ACCA etc)
  • Prior experience in the freight and logistics industry is a strong advantage.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
  • Proven leadership capability with experience in managing teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret financial data.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and able to work closely with management of all level (internal and external).
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel experience.
