Job summary

A regional finance consulting firm is seeking an experienced Finance Executive to manage day-to-day accounting activities and support finance operations in Malaysia and Singapore. The role requires at least 3 years of experience and proficiency in SAP finance modules. You'll handle intercompany transactions and assist with audits, budgeting, and reporting while identifying process improvements. This position is located in Puchong with a salary range of RM4,000–RM5,500 plus benefits and the chance to travel in Southeast Asia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a commercial finance function.
• Hands-on experience using SAP Finance modules is essential.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and standards required.

Position Purpose

This role supports day-to-day finance operations for the Singapore and Malaysia businesses, with exposure to regional activities across Southeast Asia as the organization expands.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations

Perform day-to-day accounting activities covering Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and General Ledger (GL)

Process vendor invoices, employee expense claims, collections, and bank reconciliations

Maintain GL accounts, fixed assets registers, and prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments

Intercompany Transactions

Process, manage, and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities

Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements

Support financial reporting, forecasting updates, and data uploads via SAP

Maintain financial data in systems including SAP, OneStream, Info-Tech, and Qlik

Budgeting

Support budget data collection from divisions

Prepare and upload budget templates, including cost allocation, in accordance with global timelines and guidelines

Audit and Tax Support

Provide financial data and schedules required for internal and external audits

Support preparation of direct and indirect tax submissions to ensure timely and accurate filing

Cash Flow Management

Prepare and update cash flow templates as assigned

Process Improvement

Identify opportunities for standardization, automation, and process improvement

Develop and maintain Desktop Procedures (DTPs)

Participate in system enhancements and automation initiatives

Ad-hoc Assignments

Support finance-related ad-hoc tasks, including system testing, as required

Requirements

Diploma, Degree, or Professional Qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

Minimum 3 years of experience in a commercial finance function or shared service environment

Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience using SAP Finance modules

Working knowledge of accounting principles and standards

Experience with OneStream is advantageous

Willingness to travel approximately 10%–20% within the Southeast Asia region
