The Little Caliphs International Sdn Bhd is the franchisor of The Little Caliphs Program (TLCP), an Islamic-English-Creative preschool program that focuses on the spiritual, cognitive, socio-emotional, and physical development of preschool children. TLCP provides training, branding, and business support in the kindergarten business industry, offering creative methodologies for teaching Islamic foundations and essential skills to children.

Role Description

This is a contract role for a Finance Executive - Reporting at Little Caliphs International Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam. As a Finance Executive - Reporting, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing financial reporting processes, handling Goods and Services Tax (GST) matters, and utilizing analytical skills to support financial operations. The details job description as per below:

  1. Perform accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards
  2. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws and reporting requirements
  3. Maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and IFRS
  4. Perform intercompany posting of invoices
  5. Assist to prepare work instruction guide for the relevant work functions
  6. Assist in ad-hoc assignments, analysis, projects and reporting
  7. Support the production of yearly budgets and revenue forecast
  8. Support monthly accounting close and financial reporting processes for P&L, and balance sheet reporting.
  9. Review, analyse and interpret monthly financial results.
  10. Work with the team to build the yearly operating plan, manage the annual financial planning process
  11. Daily monitoring of cash collection
  12. Intercompany reconciliations
  13. Establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
  14. Manage the operational strategic workforce plan for the A/R operations team, including forecasting and analysing growth trends.
  15. Provide quarterly updates to each business partner on performance and hiring recommendations.
  16. Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Cash Collections forecasting in partnership with Treasury
  17. Generate Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly results metrics and presentations
  18. Build, Maintain & Manage Long Range Plan in conjunction with Financial Reporting Lead
  19. Leverage roll out of analytics integrations to deliver Finance
  20. Become a master of your data universe, maintain data quality and validity
  21. Provide key BI support and ad hoc analysis to help business leaders to understand their business, and provide guidance on areas of improvement, and areas to focus to meet performance metrics.
  22. Assisting in the preparation of budgets
  23. Reconciling daily, monthly and yearly transactions
  24. Preparing balance sheets
  25. Developing an in-depth knowledge of organisational products and process
  26. Providing customer service to clients
  27. Resolve financial disputes raised by the customer service and sales teams
  28. Being a key point of contact for other departments on financial and accounting matters
  29. Supporting the Finance Manager and executives with projects and tasks when required

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  2. Financial Statements and Financial Reporting skills
  3. Analytical Skills
  4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
