Job summary

A reputable accounting firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced candidate to manage the preparation of full set accounts including P&L and balance sheets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include reconciling payments, managing financial records, liaising with banks, and handling audits. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and at least 3-4 years of relevant experience with proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.

Job description
  • 1. Responsible for accuracy and timely preparation of full set accounts such as Account Payable, Account Receivable, Cash Book, General Ledge, reporting, P&L and balance sheet in accordance to procedures and accounting standard.
  • 2. Debtor / creditor issues, record, reconcile payment against invoices or statement of account.
  • 3. Generate Account Payable Ageing List and Trade Creditors Ageing List, Cash Book record and Bank Reconciliation accordingly to deadline.
  • 4. Timely and accurately generate/verify creditors’ payment, payment transaction and cheques.
  • 5. Prepare relevant and timely update reports, statistic and analysis on sales and finance related activities.
  • 6. Manages month-end & year financial records and posting financial information, ensures accuracy of financial statement.
  • 7. Liaising with banks and financial institutions.
  • 8. Handle statutory audit/taxation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • 9. Liaison between the company, government authorities, bankers, tax agents, company secretary and external auditors to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained.
  • 10. To maintain proper documentation and filing to facilitate the audit process.
  • 11. Any other duties assigned from time to time.
Requirements:
  • 1. Candidate must possess Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Accounting or equivalent.
  • 2. Experienced candidate with minimum 3-4 years of accounting experience with finance / accounting background.
  • 3. Computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and database.
  • 4. Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and independently.
  • 5. High attention to detail and accuracy.
