Job description
Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Strategy & Management – Lead the financial strategy for the Malaysia manufacturing plant, ensuring close alignment between finance, factory operations, and international trade activities in support of the Group’s overall strategic objectives.
  2. Budgeting & Cost Control – Oversee plant-level budgeting and forecasting, with detailed manufacturing cost structures covering raw materials, labor, manufacturing overheads, procurement, and logistics. Drive variance analysis and cost optimization initiatives.
  3. Treasury & Tax Management – Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and tax compliance for the plant, supporting manufacturing operations and cross-border trade activities while ensuring compliance with Malaysian tax and customs regulations.
  4. Financial Reporting & Analysis – Prepare and review periodic financial statements and management reports, translating factory and operational performance into actionable financial insights for plant management and Group leadership.
  5. Factory Operations & Manufacturing Finance Support – Work closely with production, procurement, supply chain, and plant operations teams to support daily factory activities. Ensure financial controls, cost structures, and reporting accurately reflect production volumes, capacity utilization, and operational performance.
  6. Production Costing & Inventory Management – Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, including BOM and standard costing, variance analysis, WIP tracking, and finished goods inventory valuation. Ensure strong inventory controls and reconciliation between physical stock and financial records.
  7. Capex & Fixed Assets Management – Lead Capex planning and evaluation for factory machinery, equipment, and infrastructure projects. Oversee capitalization, depreciation, and asset lifecycle management.
  8. Team Supervision – Review the work performed by finance team members, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Provide guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to develop a high‑performing finance team.
  9. Cross‑Functional & Inter‑Departmental Collaboration – Communicate and coordinate effectively with internal departments, including production, procurement, supply chain, operations, HR, and headquarters finance teams.
  10. Governance, Controls & Compliance – Establish and enforce robust internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance processes. Ensure accuracy of financial data, adherence to regulatory requirements, and effective financial risk management.
Job Requirements
  1. Education & Professional Qualifications – Master’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplines. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly preferred.
  2. Experience – Minimum 8 years of relevant finance experience; at least 5 years in manufacturing finance management with direct factory exposure; proven experience supervising and managing a finance team; minimum 3 years of experience in international trade finance, including cross‑border settlements and import/export operations.
  3. Technical Expertise & Skills – Strong expertise in manufacturing cost accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and inventory control; solid knowledge of international trade finance operations (e.g., Letters of Credit, foreign exchange risk management, import/export tax incentives).
  4. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office; strong financial analysis, strategic thinking, and decision‑support capabilities.
  5. Language & Communication – Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese. Required for regular communication with stakeholders, suppliers, and overseas counterparts.
