To supports the management of the company’s finance and accounting operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective internal controls. Assist in overseeing daily accounting activities, month-end closing, budgeting, taxation, and audit coordination, while providing financial analysis and guidance to support business decisions and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
- Assist in managing day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash management.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documents.
- Prepare and analyze management reports, financial statements, and variance analysis.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control
- Assist in annual budget preparation, forecasting, and periodic budget reviews.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and highlight variances with explanations.
- Support cost control initiatives and efficiency improvement measures.
Compliance, Taxation & Audit
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Companies Act, Income Tax Act, SST, and other relevant regulations.
- Assist in tax computations, tax filings, and coordination with tax agents.

- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal controls and policies.
ERP & System Management
- Support ERP system accuracy, data integrity, and monthly closing activities.
- Assist in system improvements, automation, and process enhancements where applicable.
Cash Flow & Treasury Support
- Monitor cash flow positions and assist in cash flow planning.
- Support bank reconciliations, banking facilities, and payment processing.
- Assist in managing working capital, including receivables and payables aging.
Team Support & Coordination
- Guide and support junior finance staff in daily accounting tasks.
- Coordinate with internal departments on finance-related matters.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and external stakeholders as required.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
- Support management initiatives related to financial governance and operational excellence.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and statutory requirements.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
