Job description

To supports the management of the company’s finance and accounting operations to ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective internal controls. Assist in overseeing daily accounting activities, month-end closing, budgeting, taxation, and audit coordination, while providing financial analysis and guidance to support business decisions and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reporting
  • Assist in managing day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cash management.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documents.
  • Prepare and analyze management reports, financial statements, and variance analysis.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control
  • Assist in annual budget preparation, forecasting, and periodic budget reviews.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and highlight variances with explanations.
  • Support cost control initiatives and efficiency improvement measures.
Compliance, Taxation & Audit
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, Companies Act, Income Tax Act, SST, and other relevant regulations.
  • Assist in tax computations, tax filings, and coordination with tax agents.
  • Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to

ERP & System Management
  • Support ERP system accuracy, data integrity, and monthly closing activities.
  • Assist in system improvements, automation, and process enhancements where applicable.
Cash Flow & Treasury Support
  • Monitor cash flow positions and assist in cash flow planning.
  • Support bank reconciliations, banking facilities, and payment processing.
  • Assist in managing working capital, including receivables and payables aging.
Team Support & Coordination
  • Guide and support junior finance staff in daily accounting tasks.
  • Coordinate with internal departments on finance-related matters.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and external stakeholders as required.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
  • Support management initiatives related to financial governance and operational excellence.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and statutory requirements.
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
