A leading manufacturing company is seeking a Field Technician for its petrochemical plant in Banting, Malaysia. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards while performing general plant tasks, monitoring chemical processes, and assisting with equipment operations. Applicants should have at least one year of experience in a manufacturing environment and relevant qualifications such as SPM or a diploma in Engineering. Qualifications

• Minimum SPM, Certificate, Diploma of Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of working experience in shift or manufacturing environment.
• Relevant working experience in polymer synthesis and petrochemical synthesis plant would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Ensure environmental, health and safety rules and guidelines are adhered to.
• Perform general plant and field tasks as instructed by superior.
• Monitor chemical processes and test product quality.
• Assist with start-up, shutdown and operation of equipment.
• Troubleshoot plant issues or equipment problems.
• Collect samples and send to lab as per requirement.
• Ensure SOP, WI and operational checklist are adhered to.
• Fill in chemical preparation check sheets or related log sheets.
• Report problems or changes in operation conditions.
• Support plant trials or experiments.
• Provide concise and accurate information for records.
• Attend daily shift handover meeting.
• Perform housekeeping and maintain cleanliness of plant area.
• Ensure all activities comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Your Mission:

• To ensure environmental, health and safety rules and guidelines are adhered to and maintain high safety standard and a safe working environment.
• To perform general plant and field tasks as instructed by superior, such as preparation and charging of chemical solutions, running pumps, changing filter bags/cartridge, operating filtration system, etc.
• To monitor chemical processes and test product quality (if required) to meet standards and specifications.
• To assist with start-up, shutdown and operation of equipment.
• To assist in troubleshooting plant issues or equipment problems.
• To collect samples and send to lab as per requirement. In special circumstances additional sampling may be required.
• To ensure SOP, WI and operational checklist are adhered to and properly recorded as per requirement.
• To fill in chemical preparation check sheets or any related log sheets for chemical preparation process and process parameters reading.
• To report problems or changes in the operation condition to immediate superior.
• To support plant trials or experiments to improve process, product quality, efficiency and productivity.
• To provide concise and accurate information to Boardman for the purpose of records and handover to next shift to carry out their duty safety, efficiently and effectively.
• To attend daily shift handover meeting to handover plant to next shift team.
• To perform housekeeping and maintain cleanliness of plant area.
• To ensure all activities are carried out with full compliance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, safety management system and any other requirements as stipulated in the system, by practicing them accordingly and ensure ISO procedures are updated and adhered to by regular checks.
• To perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by superior from time to time.

What are we looking for:
