A leading vacuum technology company in Malaysia is seeking a Field Mechanical Design Engineer. This role involves direct customer engagement, effective collaboration, and extensive travel to meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical design and problem-solving skills, alongside the ability to work independently and communicate effectively. A degree in mechanical engineering and proficiency in English are required, while knowledge of the vacuum industry and CAD software is preferred.

We are looking for a Field Mechanical Design Engineer in facilitating direct customer engagement, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring customer-centricity in all design endeavours. This role requires proactive problem-solving, effective communication, and a deep understanding of user needs and cultural nuances.
Reporting directly to team leader, you will work closely with key account (KA) customers in China to ensure their requirements are met efficiently, while collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
This role requires frequent travel to customer sites to ensure successful project execution and to address any design-related challenges in real-time. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical design skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the flexibility to travel extensively.
