Job summary

A prominent poultry farm in Kedah, Malaysia is looking for a Fertilizer Operations Manager to oversee fertilizer production and maintenance. The role involves managing operations, staff supervision, inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards. Qualifications

Job description

Manage fertilizer operations to achieve the target production output, product quality and production efficiency.

Monitor fertilizer plant equipment and facilities maintenances and services, includes dealing with internal maintenance department to ensure smooth fertilizer operation to meet customers’ orders.

Maintain accurate records of fertilizer inventory, application schedules, and waste management practices.

Coordinate with QA team to analyse the effectiveness of fertilizer sample, including nutrient content and quality of fertilizer outputs.

Manage, control and delegate work, set goals and overseeing the training/development needs of the staff.

Supervise and control the production, manpower and overtime costs within on budget.

Ensure proper storage and handling of fertilizers to avoid contamination and loss of nutrients.

Generate regular fertilizer production reports, machineries downtime and manpower usage and overtime record.

Monitor plant operations compliance to safety requirement and ensure plant and employees’ safety & health comply to government requirements.

Ensure all staff involved in the fertilizer process are trained in health and safety procedures to prevent accidents

Ensure compliance to DOE & DVS environment regulations and other requirements by relevant government agencies & authority.

Provide ongoing performance review, guidance and motivation to staff in carrying out their roles and responsibilities.

Prepare production report and update to the management periodically

Perform other tasks given by superior.

Education & Experience

Degree /Diploma in Waste Management, Agriculture science, Mechanical Engineering, or any other related equivalent disciplines equivalent.

At least 1-2 years of experience in fertilizer management, waste management, or agricultural operations (preferably in a poultry farm setting)

Strong knowledge of manure management, composting processes, and fertilizer production.

Familiarity with farm equipment and machinery for fertilizer application.

Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Able to work under tough working environment with strong odour
