A global manufacturing company is seeking a Factory Manager in Kuala Lumpur to oversee all aspects of factory operations. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, and at least 10 years of manufacturing management experience, including 5 years in a leadership role. This position offers comprehensive relocation assistance and requires fluency in English and Chinese. The successful applicant will lead teams, drive operational excellence, and champion process innovation in a dynamic environment.
Take charge of end-to-end factory operations – production, QA, engineering, maintenance, and supply chain coordination.
Drive operational excellence, improve productivity, and optimize costs through lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Champion process innovation and sustainability, ensuring plants meet global compliance and efficiency targets.
Build a strong quality culture – uphold international QA standards (ISO, REACH, etc.) and ensure zero-defect performance.
Lead, inspire, and develop a team of employees, fostering accountability, collaboration, and safety-first culture.
Partner with HQ and regional teams on capacity expansion, automation, and new product industrialization.
Prepare for a future leadership role – you’ll be part of our global succession pipeline for factory and regional operations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Chemistry / Quality, or related field
At least 10 years of manufacturing management experience, including at least 5 years leading 150 to 300 headcount operations.
Demonstrated experience in rubber manufacturing or chemical production industries.
Deep expertise in production management, quality systems, and plant operations.
Strategic thinker with a hands‑on leadership style – you lead from the floor, not from the desk.
Willingness to relocate internationally for career progression and leadership assignments.
Must be fluent in English and Chinese (written and spoken) to facilitate communication with the head office. Candidates who can speak French will be an advantage.
Good track record in quality assurance systems implementation and management.
Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and digital manufacturing technologies.
Understanding of regulatory compliance in chemical/rubber manufacturing.
Demonstrated success in cost reduction and productivity improvement initiatives.
