Job summary

A manufacturing company in Malaysia is looking for a Facilities Technician responsible for preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of various systems, including electrical and HVAC. Qualifications

Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance of facilities systems (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.).


Monitor and maintain building utilities such as air-conditioning, water supply, lighting, and power distribution.


Support daily inspections and logging of facilities performance (temperature, humidity, electrical panels, etc.).


Coordinate with contractors and vendors for servicing, repairs, and project works.


Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.


Respond promptly to facilities-related issues and support production/office requirements.


Assist in facilities improvement projects and energy-saving initiatives.


Requirements

Candidate must possess at least Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or related field or equivalent.


At least 2–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing building environment.


Basic knowledge of electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and building maintenance.


Familiar with preventive maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.


Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.


Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.


Strong teamwork, problem-solving, and time management skills.


Physically fit and willing to work on shifts/standby when required.
