A leading energy solutions provider in Malaysia seeks a Facilities Engineer to maintain and optimise facilities and infrastructure in Kulim, Kedah. This role involves managing electrical systems, conducting safety training, and proposing improvements. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years of relevant experience, and expertise in HVAC and building systems. As a Facilities Engineer at ALPHAESS MALAYSIA SDN. BHD., you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising the company's facilities and infrastructure in Kulim, Kedah. This full‑time position is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the company's water, electricity, HVAC, fire protection and other systems according to the requirements of rules and regulations standard in Malaysia. At the same time, be responsible for formulating and implementing maintenance plans and handling unexpected failures.
Participate in the new construction, expansion and renovation projects of the factory, and be responsible for the design, construction management and commissioning of the factory system.
Carry out the installation, commissioning, maintenance and renovation of factory electrical equipment, and be responsible for the daily inspection, maintenance and upkeep of the factory electrical system to ensure the safe operation of electrical equipment.
Handle sudden failures of electrical systems, formulate preventive maintenance plans for electrical systems, conduct regular equipment inspections and tests, and promptly identify and resolve potential problems.
Evaluate and analyze the existing factory management systems, propose optimisation plans and organise their implementation to improve the system's operating efficiency and energy‑saving effects.
Provide safety training and education to employees to improve their safety awareness and emergency response capabilities.
Assist relevant departments in equipment selection, procurement and acceptance, and provide professional technical advice.
Collect and organise the operation data of the factory system, conduct statistical analysis, formulate and implement safety management systems and emergency plans.
Identifying and addressing any issues or malfunctions in a timely manner to minimise disruptions.
Other tasks assigned by management or superior.
Minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a facilities electrical engineering or maintenance role and at least 2 years of experience in manufacturing field.
Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and structural components and experiences in electrical system design, installation and maintenance are preferred.
Proficient in the use of facility management software such as electrical drawing by using AutoCAD & etc and data analysis tools.
Excellent problem‑solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to maintaining a safe and environmentally sustainable work environment.
Familiar with the operation and process of production and manufacturing departments, good at production control and on‑site management, proficient in all aspects of production and manufacturing.
Have strong learning ability and innovative spirit, be able to continuously learn new knowledge and new technologies, and improve their professional level.
