Job description
Responsibilities
  • Independently manage a portfolio of audit clients while delivering high-quality services.
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of auditors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audit assignments.
  • Plan and allocate jobs effectively based on team capacity and project timelines.
  • Review audit files and documentation to ensure compliance with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess and review audit planning, identifying key risk areas and addressing potential issues early.
  • Ensure audit work is performed in accordance with the firm’s methodologies, policies, and professional standards.
  • Monitor job progress and provide timely support and resolution of technical or operational issues.
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to team members to support professional growth and career development.
  • Foster strong client relationships and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to process improvement and innovation within the audit practice.
Requirements
  • A recognized degree in Accounting or Finance, and/or a professional qualification such as MICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, or CIMA.
  • Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant audit experience, with at least 3-4 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong technical and analytical abilities, with sound knowledge of accounting standards and audit procedures.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
