British American Tobacco Malaysia has an exciting opportunity for SAP GTS Consultant.

This role handles the end‑to‑end delivery of the Global Trade Sanctions (GTS) product within the Delivery Centre of Excellence. It ensures the technical quality of global analytics solutions, including integration with other systems, and that all changes meet standards. The role works with suppliers for proactive maintenance, provides technical mentorship to projects and architecture teams, and safeguards BAT’s intellectual property beyond individual projects.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Manage the end‑to‑end change lifecycle, from requirements gathering and fit‑gap analysis to impact assessment, approvals, transition, and post‑implementation support
  • Ensure all changes comply with organizational processes, governance frameworks, and approval criteria
  • Review and approve cost estimates from third‑party service providers, recommending robust and scalable business solutions
  • Oversee quality assurance activities, audits, SOX compliance, and support release, deployment, and service operations
  • Provide technical guidance on SAP GTS–related issues and manage escalations effectively
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (CSIP) to enhance quality, strengthen standards, and promote lean practices
What are we looking for?
  • Degree‑qualified with strong SAP GTS skills and system integration experience; SAP GTS training required, DevSecOps/Agile/ITIL certifications a plus
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in SAP GTS, covering project implementation, support, and full lifecycle development
  • Experience in large global organizations with multi‑country stakeholder interactions and use of in‑sourced/out‑sourced IT services
  • Strong communication, engagement, analytical, and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution and vendor management
  • Knowledge of DevOps, Agile/SaFE, ITIL, change management, and regulated environments (SOx, GDPR)
  • Proven ability to deliver solutions end‑to‑end, from requirements and fit‑gap analysis to design, testing, implementation, and support
