Job summary

A leading financial institution in Kuala Lumpur is looking for an individual to assist the Section Head in supporting various banking products. The role involves coordinating business support for Deposit, Banca, and Wealth Management, along with processing requests and monitoring issues. Candidates should have at least a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in banking. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential, as is proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of working experience.
  • Exposure and knowledge in Banking, especially in Deposit, Banca/Takaful and Wealth Business and/or Operations would be advantageous.
  • Proactive, can work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsible for assisting and supporting the Section Head, Deposit & Wealth Support Section in the coordination and execution of related business support for Deposit, Banca and Wealth products.

Principal Accountabilities

To assist/support on Deposit, Banca and Wealth Management to ensure continuous business growth and productivity.

To review and process the branch request for account opening involving Politically Exposed Person (PEPs) for rectification and/or approval by the Head, Wealth Management Department or the Head, Consumer Banking Division.

To prepare related Deposit papers, memo, directives and reporting for management updates/ notification/ approval.

To support the communication with HQ / branches on Deposit memo/ directives and/or any related information.

To support any related Deposit business/ system improvements requirements.

To support and execute planned activities for Deposit on related system development/enhancement and/or new projects/ initiatives/ assignments.

To facilitate inquiries and assistance to branches related to the deposit product.

To monitor, support and ensure all issues/matters highlighted related to Deposit are attended, escalated accordingly to the respective party (if any) and resolved promptly.

To monitor and support Banca/Takaful procedures e.g., registration, claim, income payment, card management and/or related reporting to ensure they are delivered accordingly within the agreed TAT between the business partner/provider and branches.

To monitor and ensure all claim payments submitted by the branch to the business partner/ provider were paid to the customers promptly.

To review and ensure all claim payments for Deceased/Total Permanent Disable under financing (Takaful Credit) were paid correctly to the respective financing accounts and closed/paid off by the branch.

To review/check on the monthly reconciliation on income payment i.e. Bank’s commission and marketing incentives, to ensure payments are correct.

To support any related Banca/ Takaful business/ system improvements requirements.

To support and execute planned activities for Banca/ Takaful system development/enhancement and/or new projects/initiatives/assignments.

To facilitate inquiries and assistance to branches in terms of Takaful & Fee-Based System (TFBS) support and/or related business process/queries.

To monitor, support and ensure all issues highlighted related to Banca / Takaful are attended, escalated accordingly to the respective party (if any) and resolved on time.

To prepare and support communication to HQ / branches on Banca /Takaful memo/ directives and/or any related information.

Act as liaison officer with business partner/provider on any related Banca/ Takaful matters and/or issues resolution (if any).

To monitor and support the Wealth Management-related business/products.

To support and execute planned activities for Wealth Management system development/enhancement and/or new projects/initiatives/assignments.

Qualifications

At least a Bachelor's Degree holder in any related field (preferably Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Information Technology etc.).

At least 2 years of working experience.

Exposure and knowledge in Banking, especially in Deposit, Banca/Takaful and Wealth Business and/or Operations would be advantageous.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and issue management skills.

Proactive, teamwork and able to work with minimal supervision and with discipline to see through the completion of tasks.

Having a high regard for accuracy and quality delivery.

Competency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level. Excel is a must.
