Job description

Responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance and reporting for the company and its Malaysian subsidiaries, ensuring adherence to Malaysian tax laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all corporate tax obligations for the Company and its Malaysian subsidiaries.
  • Prepare quarterly provisional tax computations and review annual tax computations prepared by external tax agents for Inland Revenue Board (IRB) submission.
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax and compliance with Malaysian tax laws.
  • Manage withholding tax (WHT) compliance for payments to non-residents.
  • Handle transfer pricing documentation in compliance with Malaysian requirements.
  • Manage all Sales and Service Tax (SST) matters, including liaising with Customs to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate and consolidate tax data from Finance and other internal stakeholders.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities for tax filings and audits.
  • Maintain organized and accessible tax records, filing systems, and databases.
  • Identify and resolve tax issues; negotiate with IRB when necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support compliance and advisory needs.
Requirements
  • Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of experience in tax, preferably with exposure in professional services or public accounting.
  • Basic understanding of preparing and reviewing tax returns.
  • Knowledge of Malaysian corporate tax and SST requirements; indirect tax exposure is an advantage.
  • Membership with MIA, CTIM, or other recognized Malaysian professional body (or working towards it) is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and tax laws.
  • Familiarity with regulations for public listed companies is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP processes and proficiency in spreadsheet analysis.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately.
  • High level of discretion, attention to detail, and analytical mindset.
Working Time

Monday - Thursday 8:15am - 5pm
Friday 8:15am - 4pm
