Job summary

Responsibilities
  • Assist in compiling data and maintaining cost databases for benchmarking purposes.
  • Assist in the preparation of elemental cost breakdowns and budget summaries.
  • Assist in tender calling, preparation of comparison reports, and tender evaluation.
  • Assist in handling tender queries and coordinating with consultants and contractors.
  • Assist in contract administration during the construction stage, including progress claims, variation orders (VO), documentation, and record-keeping.
  • Assist in managing contractual matters, including arbitration and variation order disputes, where applicable.
  • Attend site meetings and conduct site evaluations as required.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior and management from time to time.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of relevant working experience in contract administration, cost control, or tender management.
  • Basic knowledge of construction contracts, tendering procedures, and contract administration processes.
  • Able to prepare cost breakdowns, tender documents, comparison reports, and basic contract documentation.
  • Familiar with progress claims, variation orders (VO), and site coordination during construction stages.
  • Good communication and coordination skills to liaise with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Able to work independently as well as a team player, with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Knowledge of legal and other requirements, and good environmental practices.
