Overview
The Supply Chain Junior Executive will be involved in the end-to-end supply chain processes at Austin Powder Malaysia. The scope of duties is to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products, optimize inventory levels, and coordinate with various departments to meet company objectives. The role focuses on improving supply chain operations, supply security, cost-effectiveness, and overall efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Management: Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance operational efficiency, supply security, cost, and overall efficiency. Manage and optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand. Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure the timely delivery of materials and products.
- Procurement: Involved in procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials, engineering, and consumables. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective sourcing.
- Logistics and Distribution: Oversee logistics operations, including shipping and clearance, transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Ensure timely and accurate delivery from suppliers and manage logistics-related issues.
- Documentation & Compliance: Ensure documentation requirements are in order for import/logistics/storage compliance. Manage ISO 9001 documentation.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal departments such as Sales, Operations, Production, Technical, and Finance to align supply chain activities with business objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates and resolving issues as they arise.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on supply chain performance, including key metrics and KPIs. Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Adhere to the company's Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) policies.
- Others: Undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management to ensure effective realization of job objectives.
Qualifications
- Degree/ Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Warehouse, Engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years of supply chain or relevant work experience.
- Experience in ISO 9001 documentation.
- Experience in international shipping regulations is an added advantage.
- Demand planning background.
- Proficiency in using SAP B1 software and tools.
- Experience in sourcing/purchasing engineering/consumable items.
- Computer literacy with good skills in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations and chartering is an added advantage.
- Experience with demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management.
- Multitasking ability and willingness to take on additional tasks.
- Strong work ethic, independence, and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
