A leading educational institution in Malaysia seeks a candidate for an education counselling role focused on student recruitment and marketing. Candidates should possess a degree in Marketing or related fields and exhibit strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with Mandarin as a plus. The role requires teamwork, a sales-driven mindset, and the ability to manage stress. This is a 2-year contractual position with the possibility of renewal, welcoming fresh graduates and experienced candidates for senior roles.
University of Wollongong Malaysia – Petaling
Provide education counselling services to prospective students and parents.
Drive student recruitment activities and achieve individual and group target for student enrolment.
Follow closely with prospects via calls, scheduled appointments and visit that lead to eventual enrolment of new students.
Support the Manager in managing marketing team to ensure consistent follow up to achieve with the strategic objectives of the department.
Involved in marketing functions including (but not limited to) all major student recruitment activities i.e. campus events, roadshows, education fairs, open days, school marketing activities, etc.
Prepare relevant reports and recruitment data on regular basis and involved in any ad hoc projects.
Handle any other tasks as assigned by Superiors.
Possess a recognized Degree in Marketing/ Business or any other related discipline.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to converse in Mandarin would be advantageous in dealing with UEC students and Chinese speaking prospects.
Able to work effectively and efficiently as a team members and also independently under minimum supervision.
Comfortable with sales driven environment and target-based performance system.
Able to work under minimum supervision and manage stress effectively.
Possess positive attitude and confidence in achieving sales target and KPI.
Must possess own transport and willing to travel within Malaysia.
Willing to work beyond normal working hours and weekends (if any).

Those with proven track record can be considered for senior executive role.
