Job description

Netherlands Maritime Institute of Technology – Johor Bahru, Johor

Contract

To ensure that the product or service an organization provides is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. This includes legal compliance and customer expectations.

To coordinate the activities required to meet these quality standards.

To liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organization to ensure that the quality management system is functioning properly. Where appropriate, they advise on change and how to implement them and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting the management and implementation of the strategic planning for QA unit
• Ensuring and accountable for the university compliances with the policies and regulations by the professional bodies, stakeholder and institution authorities
• Monitoring the documentation for the NMUC
• Assisting the coordination on all necessary actions to be taken to secure accreditation from the professional bodies, stakeholder and institution authorities
• Assisting in monitoring and coordinating the standardization of all academic system and processes to comply with the quality assurance processes
• To attend supervision, training and meeting as and when required. Any other jobs around the organization that may be deemed necessary

COMPETENCIES

• Familiar with the process and requirement of Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia Qualification Agency (MQA) and other accreditation bodies;
• Ability to prioritize and manage own workload amid conflicting demands and busy work periods;
• Ability to work under pressure and be flexible as part of a small team
• Confident and able to work on own and with limited supervision
