A multinational company seeks a Sourcing Executive to manage procurement activities including vendor evaluation, negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. The successful candidate will possess a diploma or degree in Engineering and have at least 3 years of experience in a strategic sourcing role. This position involves close collaboration with the purchasing team and regular vendor performance reviews to drive cost-efficiency and quality improvements.
Reporting to the Sourcing Manager, Head of Sourcing and Engineering, the Sourcing Executive will oversee daily procurement activities such as sourcing, reviewing, qualification and selection the most cost-effective materials/items needed. The incumbent must be able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide support to sourcing manager to source and evaluate new vendors for supply of identified materials for company’s portfolio of business.
Able to negotiate with new and existing vendors to ensure supply of material in most cost-efficient manner within agreed price target and budget.
Working closely with purchasing team to track and monitor delivery of purchased items within agreed schedule and confirm delivery of items per agreed specifications by respective vendors.
Conduct monthly / periodic review of existing vendors, provide, negotiate, and execute recommendations to ensure vendor performance on pricing, quality and delivery.
Provide support to management in reviewing and recommending sourcing / procurement policies including use of appropriate tools to meet company’s evolving business needs.
Review and provide recommendations to management for the materials needed.
Handle the daily activity while re-established workflow and cross training of team members.
Develop analysis tools with system to enhance job and intensify control and continuous improvement.
Fully co-develop and implement subcon control and tracking with Batam planning team.
Driving cost reduction project with monthly report and action items
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum diploma or degree in Engineering (preferable Mechanical, mechatronic, Chemical)
Minimum 3 years of experience in a strategic sourcing position
