A leading company in payroll and HR services is seeking an Executive for Payroll & People Services. The role involves overseeing payroll processing, maintaining employee records, and supporting training initiatives. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in a related field, with 1-2 years’ experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with HR software are advantageous, along with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Immediate availability is a plus.
Handle the full spectrum and oversee review monthly payroll processing for employees, including computation of salaries, allowances, overtime, medical claims, bonuses, statutory deductions, and other related payments.
Execute payroll transactions accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
Maintain employees’ personal files, including leave records, medical claims, attendance, and other HR documentation in the filing system.
Verify that all statutory payments and filings are accurate and submitted on time.
Respond to staff inquiries regarding wages, deductions, attendance, and time records.
Ensure payroll operations comply with company policies and procedures and with statutory requirements.
Ensuring Employee Benefits including Employee reimbursements as per rules and regulations.
Verification & Reconciliation payroll calculations (salaries, allowances, deductions commission, reimbursements) of monthly payroll.
Prepare consolidated payroll reports and summaries for management review.
Coordinate with external vendors for benefits administration and HR systems support.
Training & Development
To support learning & development functions in implementing of all learning & development strategies & plans.
Conduct Training Needs Analysis to generate the annual training plan.
Develop and implement a strategy, in order to identify each individual employee’s competencies and their gaps thereafter recommend learning intervention.
Design and develop training solutions through development of multiple learning programmes for all employees when necessitating.
Continuously seek and introduce new approach practices and processes to improve efficiency of the training programme.
Maintain and update all training records and related documentation accordingly.
Manage HRDC grant applications, claims, and compliance to maximize training funding opportunities and ensure adherence to HRDC requirements and guidelines.
Consolidate training evaluation and prepare reports.
Conduct monthly new hire onboarding sessions on company culture, policies, and values to ensure smooth integration of new employees through structured orientation programs when necessitating.
Generate reports on training metrics, completion rates, and tracking budgets, analyzing learning data to identify trends, and maintaining records for audit and compliance when necessitating.
Perform any ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidate must possess at least Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/ Accountancy/Human Resource Management/Business Administration, or a related field.
Preferably with a minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience in payroll and training & development.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
An added advantage for those with working experience in QuickPay (HR2000) / Times Software / HRIS.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, numerical accuracy and timeliness.
Strong focus on Compensation & Benefits and Learning & Development.
Knowledge of the Employment Act 1955 and the statutory requirements.
Proficiency in spoken Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin is an added advantage.
Immediate availability will be an advantage.
