Executive - Network and Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Network operation support which includes monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, configuring network devices for devices such as switches, routers, wireless and F5 load balancer.
• Security operation support to monitor network security device performance, troubleshooting issues, configuring security devices such as Firewall, IDS, WAF, Sophos Proxy firewall, EDR and Cisco ISE.
• Provide incident management support to ensure all incidents tickets related to network and security infrastructure resolved in timely manners within Service level agreement.
• Performance and capacity management to identify any network bottlenecks and propose remediation or solution to address the gaps.
• Involve in project implementation such as network and security infrastructure upgrade.
• Ensure network and security operations are complied with IT policies and security framework.
• Security review and audit include performing periodic security scanning security-related configurations (e.g. firewall policy, access list, privilege accounts, access rights, crypto protocols, etc).
• Create and maintain documentation related to on-premise network infrastructure and cloud security configurations, procedures and findings.

Skill Requirements

• Possess relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), firewall certified (CCSE, PNSE) or others demonstrating expertise in network security domain will be added advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Networking and cybersecurity or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years experiences in networking and security domain.
• Proficiency in supporting network devices such as Cisco switches, router, ISE, F5 load balancer, SolarWinds.
• Proficiency in Security devices such as security firewall (Palo Alto, Fortinet), WAF, Sophos proxy firewall and EDR.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms: Expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP, Alibaba, Tencent) including their security features and configuration options.
• Coding skills: Basic scripting or programming knowledge (e.g., Python, PowerShell) can be beneficial for automation and custom security solutions.
• Strong analytical skills: Ability to analyse security logs and identify potential threats.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to identifying and documenting security vulnerabilities.
• Communication Skills: Effective communication to share technical information with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Able to work under pressure and tight timelines.
• Required Language(s): English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Willing to work on shift rotations and standby.
