Job summary

A leading medical device company in Malaysia seeks a Medical Doctor to provide high-level scientific and clinical expertise. The role includes managing relationships with healthcare professionals, delivering medical information, supporting evidence generation initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Candidates should have experience in intensive care, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to travel frequently. A medical degree is required, and familiarity with local healthcare systems is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in intensive care and/or anaesthesiology preferred.
  • Full-time working experience in hospital medicine.
  • Experience in medical devices or pharmaceuticals is an advantage.

Job description
Responsibilities

Provide high-level scientific and clinical expertise to support product lifecycle management and regional medical strategy.

Build and maintain relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and academic institutions to drive scientific exchange.

Deliver medical and scientific information on company products to internal and external stakeholders, including lectures and presentations.

Contribute to the development and execution of regional medical plans aligned with global strategy.

Support evidence generation initiatives, including clinical development programs, real‑world evidence collection, and Investigator Initiated Studies.

Organize and participate in advisory boards, scientific congresses, and medical education events.

Provide medical training and education to internal teams (sales, marketing, regulatory) and external audiences.

Assist in the organization and scientific support of external events such as symposia and workshops.

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal SOPs in all medical activities.

The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

Requirements
  • Requires a Medical Doctor, experience in intensive, critical care and/or anaesthesiology, surgery or Internal Medicine is preferred.
  • Good experience in full time working in hospital medicine.
  • Proficiency in English. Work experience in medical device, pharmaceutical and/or academy is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with local healthcare systems and medical practice.
  • Excellent verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of developing and maintaining relationships with international and local opinion leaders.
  • Able to understand and communicate clinical and scientific data.
  • Ability to conduct clear and concise scientific discussions at a high level.
  • Flexibility and ability to travel frequently.
