Executive, Financial Intelligence Governance

Key Accountabilities
- Assist in preparation of periodic reporting to Group, Executive Committee and Board.
- Perform duties or other responsibilities as required by the Senior Manager of Financial Intelligence Governance (FIG) and Head of Compliance.
- Support the FIG unit to ensure that the organisation operates in accordance with local regulatory requirements, and assist in the implementation of Anti‑Money Laundering and Counter‑Financing of Terrorism / Proliferation Financing (AML/CFT/PF), including but not limited to the following areas:
- Anti‑Bribery and Corruption (ABC)
- Distribution Compliance
- Whistleblower
- Conflict of Interest
- Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
- FATCA / CRS
- Support business units in the review of any new process, development or projects.
- Communicate new regulatory developments to relevant stakeholders within the stipulated time.
- Track and ensure completion of compliance mandatory training for all staff within the agreed timeline.
- Ensure that AML/CTF Standard Operating Procedures are relevant and up to date with the latest requirements.
- Review transaction monitoring and, if deemed necessary, draft suspicious transaction reports.
- Compile and update the record of the Gift Entertainment Anti‑Bribery Register.
Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Banking, Law and/or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of Insurance, Takaful or Banking work experience in compliance, audit or business operations.
- Experience in a regulatory set‑up with compliance or audit background is advantageous.
Knowledge & Technical Skills
- Good understanding of relevant laws, regulations, guidelines and regulators’ requirements.
- Familiar with internal rules, procedures, systems and guidelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a pre‑requisite.
- Proactive, self‑initiative, independent, adaptable and strong analytical skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact well with employees at all levels and external parties.
