Overview

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Selangor, Malaysia. The Event Manager / Banquet Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of all events and banquets, ensuring exceptional service standards and seamless event delivery. The role requires hands‑on management of event operations, staff supervision, client relationship management, and close coordination with internal departments to achieve business and operational goals.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in Event Management, Banquet Operations, or Hospitality Management, preferably in the F&B or hotel industry.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficiency in budget management, scheduling, and vendor coordination.
  • Knowledge of event management systems.
  • Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee event and banquet operations from planning to execution, ensuring smooth and efficient delivery.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure all event requirements and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Coordinate with the culinary, service, and logistics teams to ensure quality and timing of event services.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability.
  • Lead, train, and motivate event and banquet teams to deliver consistent and high‑quality service.
  • Handle on‑site event troubleshooting and ensure client satisfaction throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to maximize event opportunities and achieve revenue targets.
