Job summary

An international technology firm in Penang is seeking an engineer with a degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering. The role involves setting up machines, optimizing production processes, performing routine checks, and providing technical support. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of experience and possess strong problem-solving and communication skills. This position may require shift rotations and work in a clean room environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with machine setup and technical support is required.

Responsibilities

• Basic machine setup Die Attach, Wirebond, Basic aligner, Hotbar, INJ and Xray.
• Responsible for sustaining and optimizing FOL processes.
• Perform daily machine startup and readiness checks.
• Support day-to-day MOL production tools and respond to downtime.
• Prepare regular reports and escalate major machine issues.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Basic machine setup Die Attach, Wirebond, Basic aligner, Hotbar, INJ and Xray
• Responsible for sustaining, improving, and optimizing FOL processes and equipment to ensure stable production, high yield, and zero downtime.
• Perform daily machine startup, warm-up, calibration, and readiness checks
• Support day-to-day MOL production tools and respond to machine downtime.
• Good problem-solving skills and data analysis knowledge.
• Provide technical support for SFA equipment
• Prepare regular reports (daily, weekly, shutdown, FA/IC reports)
• Escalate major machine or process issues to SV.
• Good hands‑on and communication skills.
• Provide support on any tasks assigned by immediate SV
• Maintain PM checklist and ensure good 5S around machine area.
• Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills.
• Willing to work on shift rotation and support urgent production needs and work in clean room.

Requirements

Masters/Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronic/Electrical/Electronics/Materials/Mechanical Engineering and have experience minimum 2 years.
