We are seeking experienced and highly skilled professionals to lead and oversee the daily operations of our state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Malacca. This role calls for a detail-oriented and analytical leader with strong communication and management skills to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Your Role in Our Team
A. Legal Compliance & Regulatory Duties
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994 (OSHA), Factories and Machinery Act 1967 (FMA), and all relevant regulations.
  • Act as the company’s registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH as required under Regulation 6 of the Safety and Health Officer Regulations 1997.
  • Prepare and submit statutory reports, notifications, and documents to DOSH and other authorities on time.
  • Keep up to date with changes in safety laws, guidelines, and best practices.
B. Safety & Health Management
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Safety and Health Policy, SOPs, and risk control procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments (HIRARC) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for all operations and machinery.
  • Investigate and report all accidents, near misses, and unsafe acts/conditions, including recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure proper use, inspection, and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain all safety and health documentation, records, and permits.
C. Safety Training & Awareness
  • Plan and conduct safety induction, fire drills, and emergency response training.
  • Promote a strong safety and health culture through regular awareness campaigns and communications.
  • Provide technical advice and safety guidance to all departments and employees.
D. Committee & Coordination
  • Act as Secretary to the Safety and Health Committee, organizing regular meetings and maintaining minutes.
  • Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and HR to resolve safety issues promptly.
  • Liaise with DOSH, BOMBA, DOE, local authorities, and insurance providers on safety and health matters.
E. Environmental & Emergency Management
  • Support environmental compliance activities (e.g. scheduled waste, air quality, noise monitoring).
  • Ensure readiness of Emergency Response Teams (ERT) and update Emergency Response Plans (ERP).
  • Conduct safety inspections, housekeeping audits, and emergency drills regularly.
F. Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in safety performance and lead Kaizen/continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for safety and health.
  • Support ISO 45001/ISO 14001 implementation and internal audits.
Who We’re Looking For
Education & Certification
  • Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Must be a Registered Safety & Health Officer (SHO) with a valid Green Book issued by DOSH Malaysia.
  • Additional certifications such as ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, Fire Safety, or First Aid are an advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in safety and health management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and audit coordination.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, FMA, and other Malaysian safety legislation.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and influence employees at all levels.
  • Good problem-solving and report-writing skills.
  • Computer literate (MS Office, reporting systems, and safety software).
