Job summary

A leading environmental management company in Hulu Selangor, Selangor is seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to ensure compliance with regulations and manage scheduled waste. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Environmental Engineering or related fields, over 3 years of experience, and strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and environmental laws. Proficiency in both Bahasa Malaysia and English is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in environmental management.
• Certified with CePSWaM & CePIETSO (DOE recognized).
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and environmental laws.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Environmental Quality Act 1974 & DOE regulations.
• Prepare & submit environmental reports on time.
• Liaise with DOE, consultants & auditors during inspections.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Environmental Quality Act 1974 & DOE regulations.
• Manage Scheduled Waste (storage, labeling, Inventory & disposal).
• Prepare & submit environmental reports (eSWIS, IETS, SW inventory) on time.
• Liaise with DOE, consultants & auditors during inspections and license renewals.
• Conduct environmental training and support ISO 14001 EMS initiatives.

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Engineering/ Chemical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Certified with CePSWaM & CePIETSO (DOE recognized).
• Minimum 3 years experience in environmental management (preferably in rubber/latex, chemical, or related industries).
• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment, pollution control, and environmental laws.
• Hands-on experience in DOE reports (eSWIS, IETS, SW inventory).
• ISO 14001 experience is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in Malaysia,
• Competency in CePSWaM and CePIETSO application and compliance.
• Good knowledge in wastewater treatment processes, pollution control systems and environmental monitoring.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
• Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken & written).
• Ability to lead environmental audits, inspections and training sessions.
