Job description
Be the Strategic Growth Partner for BJAK’s CEO

At BJAK, we’re building Southeast Asia’s leading digital financial platform - fast. As we scale rapidly across multiple markets, we’re seeking an Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) to operate as a high-trust, high-impact partner to the CEO.

This is a role for ex-entrepreneurs or seasoned operators in transition who thrive in ambiguity, think strategically, and execute relentlessly. You will work at the intersection of leadership, strategy, and operations - researching new opportunities, driving cross-functional projects, and shaping initiatives that accelerate company growth.

This is not a conventional support role. You’ll be expected to step into leadership gaps, influence outcomes across functions, and act as a multiplier for the CEO’s impact.

What You Will Do

Strategic Leadership & Execution

  • Partner with the CEO, executive leadership, and business unit heads to define, refine, and execute strategic priorities.
  • Translate high-level strategy into actionable operational plans with measurable outcomes.
  • Lead cross-functional task forces and strategic workstreams across departments.
  • Act as a champion of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Innovation & Business Model Development

  • Identify and assess new business opportunities, emerging trends, and market disruptions.
  • Design and pilot new business models, products, and services.
  • Facilitate ideation workshops and innovation forums across the organization.

Operational Excellence & Problem Solving

  • Diagnose operational bottlenecks and implement improvements.
  • Drive organizational effectiveness by optimizing processes, decision flows, and resource allocation.
  • Provide advisory support to teams facing complex challenges or growth hurdles.

Mentorship & Leadership Development

  • Serve as a mentor and coach to senior managers, high-potential talent, and entrepreneurial teams.
  • Share entrepreneurial perspectives and practical frameworks to strengthen leadership capabilities.
  • Support culture building, fostering accountability, experimentation, and resilience.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as a credible representative of the CEO Office in internal and external engagements.
  • Collaborate with investors, partners, and key stakeholders to drive alignment and strategic support.
  • Synthesize insights from stakeholders and surface recommendations to the CEO.
Key Qualifications

Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of professional experience, ideally including founding or leading a startup, scaling a business, or driving high-impact strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated track record of translating strategy into execution and delivering measurable results.

Entrepreneurial Mindset

  • Self-starter with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with a strong bias for action and results.
  • Ability to think creatively, take calculated risks, and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional leadership and stakeholder influence capabilities.
  • Strong analytical problem solving paired with practical execution mindset.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead in dynamic environments.
  • Strong business judgment and financial acumen.

Personal Attributes

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a bias for action.
  • High degree of integrity, ownership, and accountability.
  • Collaborative and inclusive leadership style.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and growth-oriented mindset.
What You’ll Get
  • Direct partnership with the CEO on high-impact, company-wide initiatives.
  • Exposure to all facets of scaling a SEA-leading fintech - strategy, operations, partnerships, product, and more.
  • Autonomy to lead initiatives that shape the trajectory of the company.
  • A high-trust environment that values ownership, speed, and results over hierarchy.
  • Opportunities to explore future leadership or entrepreneurial ventures within the organization.
Our Team & Culture

We’re lean, high-performance, and output-focused. Titles don’t matter - results, ownership, and integrity do. We value entrepreneurial thinking, speed, and relentless execution. If you’re driven to make an outsized impact, thrive under ambiguity, and enjoy shaping the future of a high-growth company, this is your arena.
