A leading manufacturing company in Seberang Perai is seeking an experienced engineering manager to oversee machining processes and lead a team of engineers. Responsibilities include managing new customer programs, optimizing workflows, and ensuring quality and cost efficiency. Oversee development, validation, and documentation of machining processes.
Lead technical reviews for RFQs and support cost estimations based on machining cycle times, tooling, setup, and process complexity.
Manage engineering activities for new customer programs, including feasibility analysis, DFM feedback, process planning, and First Article execution.
Set engineering priorities and allocate resources to support production, NPI projects, and customer requirements.
Lead and develop a team of manufacturing engineers, process engineers, and CNC programming specialists. Provide guidance to the team in troubleshooting complex machining issues and optimizing workflows.
Ensure machining processes are optimized for throughput, quality, tool life, and cost efficiency.
Identify opportunities to reduce scrap, improve cycle time, and enhance process capability through lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in CNC machining, precision manufacturing, or contract manufacturing environments.
Minimum 3 years of experience leading engineering teams or supervising technical personnel.
Strong expertise in CNC programming.
Experience with GD&T, complex tolerances, and machining of metals (aluminium, stainless steel etc.)
Proven success in process optimization, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement.
Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
