Job description

As an Engineer, Test & Measure (Production) at DAIKIN ELECTRONIC DEVICES MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. (DEDM), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of the company's product. Based in Shah Alam, Selangor, this full-time position will involve conducting comprehensive testing and measurement procedures to maintain the highest standards of product quality.

What you’ll be doing

• Oversee the operations of testing equipment to support demand.
• Manage the maintenance system of testing equipment, jigs and fixtures.
• Ensure all test programs are accurate, updated, verified and controlled.
• Review new product design to ensure good testability and propose improvements.
• Liaise with suppliers on the requirements and standards of test equipment, jig and fixture designs.
• Identify the causes of machine downtime and formulate countermeasures, and make improvements to preventive and predictive maintenance of inspection hardware.
• Develop a team of supervisors and technicians to work effectively in respective T&M functions.
• Review and report performance of T&M engineering functions in achieving targets.
• Liaise with relevant personnel from related departments on matters affecting production and process performance.
• Uphold company and department regulations and ensure compliance by all subordinates.
• Ensure good 5S practice in work area.
• Carry out any other duties as directed by the company.
