A leading Malaysian energy services company is seeking a skilled technical lead to ensure continuous operation and reliability of operational technology systems. The role involves incident analysis, technical direction for site installations, and maintaining compliance with cybersecurity and anti-bribery regulations. Candidates should be proactive, capable of managing risks effectively, and dedicated to upholding safety and security standards within the organization. This position offers an opportunity to play a critical role in operational continuity and information security.
Ensure continuous operation and reliability of GDM OT systems by monitoring system performance, analyzing incidents, and coordinating timely recovery actions to minimize downtime and operational risks.
Act as the technical lead for system fault diagnosis and incident response. Analyze root causes of system failures, make technical decisions during incidents, and coordinate troubleshooting actions with technicians, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Provide technical direction to technicians for site installations, configuration, validation, and troubleshooting, particularly for SCADA and AMR systems. Make on-site or remote support decisions to ensure issues are resolved effectively and in compliance with engineering and regulatory requirements.
Maintain and configure system parameters, alerts, interfaces, and monitoring tools to ensure early detection of anomalies. Review logs, alarms, and integration data to identify abnormal trends or data inconsistencies.
Develop, contribute and maintain system standards installation and configuration procedures in order to ensure updated GMB system manual and guideline for a smooth and efficient operations.
Support compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements applicable to National Critical Information Infrastructure (NCII). Assist in security checks, backup verification, access reviews, and preparation of technical evidence for audits and regulatory inspections.
Coordinate with IT, OM branches, vendors, and service providers on system maintenance, patching, firewall changes, and infrastructure support to ensure seamless operational continuity.
Responsible for protecting Gas Malaysia's information assets and ensure that all breaches of information security, actual or suspected are reported in order to ensure that confidentiality, integrity and availability of all information is maintained; information is accessible to all employees according to business need and is protected against unauthorized access and at the same time meeting the contractual, regulatory and legislative requirement.
