Job description
Responsibilities
  • Lead investigation activities on market quality issues
  • Promote countermeasure implementation with the Manufacturing divisions and related vendors
  • Reduce customer inconvenience by providing reliable and effective countermeasures in a timely manner
  • Ensure all technical reports are screened and investigation plans are fixed
  • Ensure investigation is done in a timely manner and satisfies QA requirements
  • Ensure countermeasure implementation and effectiveness
  • Minimise customer inconvenience and disruption to sales, service, and production
  • Screen technical reports and warranty data to identify problem phenomenon and related manufacturing and design divisions
  • Fix investigation plans and issue official requests to related divisions
  • Conduct pre‑check or duplication tests for failed parts and systems
  • Manage failed parts shipment and related information for the related divisions
  • Follow up on any investigation progress and report to management
  • Decide the necessity of countermeasures based on the above points
  • Issue countermeasure requests to relevant divisions
  • Audit countermeasure implementation activities
  • Verify effectiveness of countermeasures, both on the actual vehicle and by monitoring market trends
  • Provide countermeasure parts, methods, and information to the Technical Service Division
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably related to the automotive industry
  • Preferably 2 years’ experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry
  • Fresh graduates are welcome
  • Experience in the automotive industry is an added advantage
  • Good spoken and written English
  • Knowledge in the Seven Basic Tools of Quality
  • Passionate about automotive engineering, with personal drive to dive deeper when conducting investigations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office — Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical thinking
  • Resourcefulness — able to work independently with minimum supervision
