A leading manufacturing company in Port Klang seeks a dedicated engineer to lead continuous automation improvements and manage machine reliability. You will oversee troubleshooting and upgrades of critical equipment, provide technical training, and ensure compliance with operational standards. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in relevant engineering fields, has strong knowledge of control components, and possesses good leadership and analytical skills. Continuous automation improvement by evaluating and recommending new technologies, equipment, and machinery to support the company’s business growth and efficiency.
Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and upgrading of machines and equipment to maintain optimal performance.
Handle systems involving PLC, HMI (preferably Mitsubishi), SCADA, and Robotics.
Provide leadership, guidance, and technical training to maintenance staff; motivate and develop the Engineering Department team.
Oversee the performance and reliability of all M&E facilities, equipment, and machinery within the plant.
Offer technical advice and support to other departments as required.
Lead and ensure the successful qualification (validation) of all key manufacturing-related machines.
Manage and maintain registration of all spare parts drawings, plant layouts, and other essential technical documentation.
Monitor and control departmental expenses to ensure cost efficiency.
Oversee maintenance store inventory and ensure effective control of spare parts.
Ensure all calibration activities within the company are completed accurately and within the defined timelines.
Participate in internal audits to ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior.
Candidate must possess at least a recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical & Electronic/ Mechanical/ Mechatronic / Automation / Control Engineering or equivalent.
Candidates with 1 to 2 years of experience in manufacturing industry and/or fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Well versed with control components such as pneumatic, motors, sensors, etc.
Good knowledge in PI&D drawings and troubleshooting.
Proficient in MS office application.
Good analytical and statistical skills including report writing.
Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
