Job summary

A global engineering firm is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to support data center projects worldwide. You will provide power system design and analysis, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with international standards and client guidelines. With at least 5 years of relevant experience and proficiency in ETAP and/or SKM Power*Tools, you will collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-reliability electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design and analysis for data center projects preferred.
  • Experience supporting EPC or design-build projects is an advantage.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with strong proficiency in ETAP and/or SKM Power*Tools to join our Engineering team supporting data center projects worldwide.

This role will provide power system design, analysis, and technical support throughout the project lifecycle — from concept and detailed design to construction and commissioning. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-reliability electrical infrastructure that meets the demanding requirements of mission-critical data centers.

Responsibilities
  • Perform power system studies using ETAP and/or SKM software, including:
  • Load flow, short circuit, motor starting, harmonic, and arc flash analysis
  • Protection coordination and relay setting studies
  • Develop and review electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, and equipment sizing for LV, MV, and HV systems.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including design reports, study outputs, and calculation summaries.
  • Support concept, FEED, and detailed design phases of data center projects across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
  • Ensure electrical designs comply with client standards, Uptime Institute guidelines, and international codes (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC).
  • Provide technical support during construction and commissioning, including resolving power distribution, grounding, or protection issues.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, civil, controls, and project management teams to ensure integrated, high-quality design deliverables.
  • Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and risk assessment workshops.
  • Assist in developing internal engineering standards, tools, and best practices specific to data center power systems.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers on electrical analysis and software applications.
Talent Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design and analysis for building services, industrial, mission critical infrastructure or data center projects preferred.
  • Hands-on proficiency in ETAP and/or SKM Power*Tools is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of data center electrical systems, including: Medium and low voltage distribution, Generator and UPS systems, Switchgear and protection systems, Power redundancy (N+1, 2N configurations)
  • Familiar with international design standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, NEC, BS).
  • Experience supporting EPC or design-build projects is an advantage.
  • Understanding of commissioning and testing procedures for electrical systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to coordinate across diverse global teams.
