We offer Power Consulting for key segments in the energy system, such as renewables, transmission distribution and as well as e-transportation solutions.
As an Electrical Design Engineer – HV Substation in Hitachi Energy, you will play a pivotal role in the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical projects. You will bridge the gap between technical teams and project stakeholders, ensuring solutions are technically sound, meet project requirements, and align with Hitachi's high standards.
How you’ll make an impact
- You will provide expert technical guidance and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual design to implementation and post-launch.
- You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and define technical requirements. Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and architectural designs.
- You will oversee and contribute to the technical development, integration, and testing of solutions, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- You will identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks. Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex technical issues and ensure project continuity.
- You will prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design documents, test plans, and operational manuals and provide regular technical progress reports to project managers and stakeholders.
- You will interface with external vendors and internal Hitachi teams to ensure seamless technical integration and successful project outcomes.
- You will implement and enforce technical quality assurance processes, ensuring deliverables meet Hitachi's standards for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- You will stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices. Propose and implement innovative technical solutions to enhance project efficiency and outcomes
Your background
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum 5 years in technical engineering roles within substation projects, including system integration, testing, and deployment.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage substation products, engineering principles, and proficiency in tools/software (e.g., CAD, simulation, programming).
- Proven ability to manage technical aspects of complex projects and handle multiple priorities under pressure.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, team player with strong interpersonal skills and results-driven mindset.
