Job summary

A leading sustainability consulting firm in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced EHS Consultant to provide technical assistance in Environmental, Health, and Safety services. The role includes leading compliance audits, assisting with EHS programs, and managing medium-sized projects. Candidates should have a recognized Master's degree, EHS auditing experience, and at least 6-8 years in the field. Job description
  • Provide technical assistance and support the team in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) services, especially management systems, strategic programs and compliance works.
  • Be responsible/ lead EHS compliance audits and due diligence assessments.
  • Assist and support the execution of existing client's EHS programs and support on relevant proposal development.
  • Delivering medium-sized projects / key elements of larger projects.
  • Building effective working relationships within Business Unit and across practice area and also clients.
  • Work within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
  • Support ERM Partners-in-Charge and senior members to effectively manage projects.
  • Work collaboratively and effectively with clients, ERM employees, and vendors.
  • Stay knowledgeable of trends in the field.

Requirements
  • A recognized degree in a scientific discipline, preferably at Masters Degree level or equivalent.
  • A recognized EHS auditing qualification and/or experience.
  • A minimum of 6 to 8 years professional experience in EHS management or consultancy, preferably with exposure in a range of industries ideally including mining, infrastructure, project finance and manufacturing sector experience.
  • Proven experience in EHS auditing including due diligence, EHS compliance and Management System auditing.
  • Experience IFC Performance Stand and ADB Safeguard Policy is a plus.
  • High proficiency in English. Overseas degree and experience is a PLUS.
  • Attention to detail; excellent proofreading/technical editing, written and verbal communication skills.
