Education Support (SEN) Coordinator

Location: Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia

Salary: RM5,000 – RM6,000

An international school environment in Negeri Sembilan is seeking an Education Support (SEN) Coordinator to support inclusive education practices and student wellbeing in line with Malaysian Ministry of Education (MOE) guidelines and international school standards.

Role Overview

The SEN Coordinator is responsible for coordinating learning support services and ensuring students with additional learning needs receive appropriate academic and pastoral support within an inclusive school environment.

Key Responsibilities
Student Support Coordination
  • Support the identification of students who may benefit from additional learning support
  • Coordinate learning support plans and progress reviews
  • Liaise with relevant internal and external support professionals
Teaching & Learning Support
  • Work with teachers to support differentiated teaching strategies
  • Assist in implementing classroom accommodations and learning interventions
  • Support access arrangements related to assessments where applicable
Collaboration & Communication
  • Coordinate meetings related to student learning support
  • Work closely with teaching staff, counsellors, and parents
  • Support student transitions across learning stages
Documentation & Process Support
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records related to learning support
  • Support compliance with school policies and educational guidelines
  • Assist with documentation for internal reviews or external requirements
Student Wellbeing
  • Contribute to student wellbeing and support initiatives
  • Ensure practices align with safeguarding and care standards
Candidate Profile
  • Degree in Education, Psychology, or a related discipline
  • Relevant training or professional development in learning support or inclusive education
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting
