Malaysia University Of Science & Technology (MUST) – Petaling

The Marketing Executive for PhD Programmes is responsible for planning, developing, and executing marketing strategies to promote all PhD programmes offered by MUST. The role focuses on enhancing visibility, driving engagement, and increasing enrolment of postgraduate candidates both locally and internationally. This position requires strong digital marketing capabilities, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of marketing within the higher education sector.

Remuneration:

Basic + Commission

RM300 for the first 15 students

RM500 for the 16th student onwards

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to promote PhD programmes through digital and traditional channels.
  • Plan and run social media campaigns for PhD branding and recruitment.
  • Manage the online presence, including website updates, programme pages, and testimonials.
  • Design marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, presentations, and videos.
  • Create targeted campaigns to attract local and international PhD applicants.
  • Track and manage leads from digital ads, social media, webinars, fairs, and agencies.
  • Follow up with potential students and respond to inquiries promptly.
  • Coordinate and support PhD promotional events, webinars, and info sessions.
  • Conduct market analysis to study trends and competitors.
  • Prepare monthly reports on marketing performance and lead conversions.
  • Recommend strategies to improve visibility and recruitment outcomes.
  • Work closely with the CPS team, academic departments, and international partners.
  • Support branding for conferences, workshops, school visits, and collaborations.
  • Prepare content for social media, websites, newsletters, and marketing materials.
  • Assist in creating multimedia content such as short videos, interviews, and programme highlights.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of marketing experience, preferably in higher education or postgraduate recruitment.
  • Strong digital marketing skills including social media management, content creation, and basic design ability.
  • Excellent English communication skills with the ability to create engaging marketing materials.
  • Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of PhD processes and postgraduate education is an added advantage.
