About the Programme

Walnut GROW is Walnut Education’s talent development programme designed to grow educators and early-career professionals into school engagement and partnership leaders.

This 6-month structured traineeship offers hands-on exposure to schools, students, and future-ready education technologies, with the opportunity to convert to a permanent role based on business needs and performance.

Role Overview

This role is ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals (1–3 years of experience) who are passionate about education and excited by STEM, coding, robotics, AI, and emerging technologies.

As a School Engagement Associate, you will work directly with schools to conduct demos, training sessions, and presentations, while supporting trial classes, competitions, and programme adoption.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct or support school demos, workshops, and presentations on coding (Scratch, Python); robotics & drones; AI-related and STEM learning concepts
• Engage principals, teachers, and students in an inspiring, educator-friendly way
• Conduct or support student product trial classes
• Assist with teacher training and onboarding sessions
• Explain programmes, learning outcomes, and classroom integration clearly
• Support local and international coding, robotics, and STEM competitions
• Assist with preparation, coordination, and on-site support during events
• Help schools understand competition pathways and student readiness
• Work closely with curriculum, operations, and marketing teams
• Gather school feedback and share insights to improve programmes
• Support workshops, showcases, and education events when required

Whom We’re Looking For

• Fresh graduate or 1–2 years of working experience
• Background or strong interest in Education, STEM, Computer Science, ICT, Engineering, or equivalent
• Comfortable presenting and speaking with students, teachers, and school leaders
• Curious, confident, and eager to learn emerging education technologies
• Willing to visit schools and support on-ground activities
• Values long-term impact, collaboration, and growth
• Open to be based in Kuching

Programme Structure (6 Months)

• Months 1–2: Training, shadowing, and content familiarisation
• Months 3–4: Active delivery of demos, trials, and school engagement
• Months 5–6: Increased ownership of schools, presentations, and programmes

High-performing trainees may be converted to a permanent role (e.g., School Engagement Executive / School Account Manager) based on business needs and performance.
