Purpose of the Role

Drafter cum BIM Designer is to provide engineering design support, ensuring the design, analysis and design procedures comply with the standards while coordinating with others team members to deliver safe and efficient construction design solutions.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

• Preparing and producing details design engineering drawings (panel layout, lifting bracing design, embedment and connections).
• Build and maintain 3D BIM models in Revit for clash detection and coordination of architectural, structural and MEP models.
• Model all Tilt-Up wall panels, lifters, cast-in items, and reinforcement using Revit.
• Generate and produce shop drawings based on an architectural and structural drawing.
• Coordinate closely with engineers for design intent and construction feasibility.
• Collaborating with cross-functioning teams to ensure designs meet safety. (Incorporate senior/juniors engineer markup and revision into drawings).
• Ensure compliance with all personal obligations under Health and Safety legislation and to adhere to Company H&S policies and procedures, whilst working and striving to improve the internal Safety Audit.
• Ensure the company is flexible in its approach to utilizing skills and knowledge in order to benefit the business when the need arises.

Key Functional Competencies & Relevant Experience

• Must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural). Must be highly proficient in Revit, AutoCAD and model based coordination.
• 1-3 years experience in structural drafting/detailing.
• Any lifting precast experience considered advantage especially Tilt-up/Precast construction.
• Familiar with shop drawings workflows and structural detailing standards.
• Understanding of drawing standard and reinforcement practices.
• Experience managing model revision, drawing control and submission sheets.
