About the client:

Our clientis an online travel platform and travel-technology provider that lets users search and book travel services such as flights and hotel accommodations through one portal. It offers travel booking solutions for both B2C (consumer) and B2B (travel agents/business partners), with features including real-time flight search, hotel booking, and travel APIs that integrate booking and ticketing functions into other systems.

Job summary:

Our client is seeking for an experienced and results-driven Director – Business Development (B2B & B2C) to lead commercial strategy, manage cross-functional teams, and drive company-wide revenue growth. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for business expansion across airline GSA, corporate travel, FIT, OTA, and strategic alliances.

Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
  • Lead and manage business development and sales teams across the organization
  • Oversee Managers for Airline GSA, Corporate & Group Desk, Sales & Marketing, and Strategic Alliances
  • Set KPIs, performance targets, and accountability frameworks
Business Development
  • Develop and execute B2B and B2C growth strategies
  • Build and manage strong relationships with airlines, GDS providers, OTAs, and corporate clients
  • Identify new markets, partnerships, and commercial opportunities
  • Lead negotiations and commercial agreements
Revenue Ownership
  • Own and drive overall company revenue and profitability
  • Develop pricing, distribution, and sales strategies
  • Monitor revenue performance, margins, and market trends
  • Work closely with finance and leadership teams on forecasting and budgeting
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development / Commercial leadership (Travel, OTA, or Airline industry preferred)
  • Proven experience managing managers and multi-channel sales teams
  • Strong understanding of airline distribution, GDS systems, and OTA ecosystems
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
