ASEM (Advanced Semiconductor Academy of Malaysia) is a national initiative established in November 2023 as part of the Malaysia IC Design Park, in alignment with the National Semiconductor Strategy (NSS). Spearheaded by the Ministry of Economy, with support from the Selangor State Government and SIDEC, ASEM aims to transition Malaysia's semiconductor industry from “Made in Malaysia” to “Made by Malaysia.” We provide industry stakeholders with advanced tools, resources, talent development programs, and access to the Selangor Semiconductor Fund. ASEM also fosters global partnerships with leading institutions and collaborates with local universities, industry partners, and foundries to drive innovation, training, and talent development in the semiconductor sector.
Role Description
This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Digital Marketing Executive at ASEM, located in Cyberjaya. The Digital Marketing Executive will manage digital marketing campaigns, develop strategic communication plans, and execute social media marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Key responsibilities include creating and managing web content, analysing digital marketing performance through web analytics, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure messaging is aligned with company goals.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in marketing and communication strategies to effectively promote brand objectives.
- Experience in social media marketing and web content writing to create, manage, and optimise digital content.
- Ability to analyse performance metrics using web analytics to measure the success of campaigns and make data‑driven improvements.
- Strong organisational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Understanding of the semiconductor industry or technical fields is an added advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
Social Media Content Creation
- Plan, create, and manage content (photo, video, and copy) for social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and XiaoHongShu (Redbook).
- Produce engaging visual and video content such as Reels and TikToks with creative captions and relevant hashtags.
- Handle photo, video, and copywriting tasks for events, campaigns, and promotional materials.
- Stay updated with social media trends, viral formats, and best practices to create relevant, shareable content.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute monthly content calendars.
Creative & Design
- Assist in designing marketing materials such as posters, brochures, banners, social media graphics, and presentations.
- Support in creating visual assets for digital campaigns, websites, and internal communications.
- Ensure all materials maintain consistency with brand identity and guidelines.
- Adapt existing designs for various formats and platforms.
- Contribute creative ideas and concepts during brainstorming or campaign planning sessions.
Digital Marketing Support
- Assist in executing digital marketing activities such as EDM, WhatsApp, and email blasting.
- Assist in preparing and distributing e-newsletters, campaign announcements, and promotional materials.
Supporting Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct research on market trends, competitors, and customer preferences to support marketing strategies.
- Compile and analyse data to identify marketing opportunities and insights.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for internal reviews and campaign planning.
