A leading recruitment firm in Malaysia seeks a qualified professional to manage the design and coordination of powder metallurgy sample parts. The role involves ensuring effective communication for production transitions, monitoring project development, and preparing detailed technical documentation. Candidates should have a strong background in mechanical engineering and be proficient in CAD software, ideally with knowledge in powder metallurgy processes. Both experienced candidates and fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Manage the design and coordination of powder metallurgy sample parts based on customer requirements. Ensure proper material selection, tooling design, and sintering conditions to meet functional and dimensional specifications.
2) Ensure the smooth mass production transition from sample stage to mass production stage. Facilitate a seamless transition from the sample phase to mass production, focusing on effective communication and coordination among teams to minimize disruptions and enhance overall productivity.
3) Monitoring Project Progress & Resolving Product Issues. Track the development and production progress of PM parts and identify and resolve critical technical issues related to powder behavior, part density, dimensional tolerances, and mechanical properties during compaction, sintering, and post‑processing stages.
4) Dimensional Measurement of Finished Powder Metallurgy Parts. Perform precision measurements on sintered components using micrometers, CMMs, and profile projectors to verify conformance to engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances, accounting for shrinkage and densification.
6) Inspection Report Preparation. Create detailed inspection reports covering dimensional checks, metallurgical evaluations, and physical property tests, providing clear documentation for customer approval and internal quality assurance.
7) Testing & Analysis of New Powder Materials. Evaluate new powder materials and additives for potential use in PM components by conducting compaction and sintering trials to assess mechanical properties, compatibility with existing tooling, and overall performance improvements.
8) Preparation and Issuance of Technical Drawings & PM Standards. Develop and issue detailed CAD drawings, material specifications, and internal standards tailored for powder metallurgy processes to ensure designs are optimized for tooling, manufacturability, and sintering behavior while complying with industry standards such as ISO.
9) Identify, analyze, and resolve production issues related to product design. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues arising from product design, implement corrective actions, and continuously improve design processes to enhance manufacturability and efficiency.
