We are looking for talented Design & Application Engineer to join our dynamic Design & Application team. As a key member of our team, you'll be working on the design and development of critical semiconductor components and tooling, ensuring top‑notch quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
Design and Development

Design and develop precise semiconductor parts, tooling, and related components for semiconductor backend processes.

Utilize CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D models, ensuring adherence to functional and performance specifications.

Create and review comprehensive design documentation, including specifications and schematics.

Project Execution

Participate in project planning, including timelines, and resource allocations.

Work on assigned design projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules and quality standards.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, such as manufacturing, quality assurance, and procurement, to ensure seamless project integration.

Prototyping and Testing

Build prototypes and conduct testing to verify design functionality and performance.

Analyse test results and make necessary adjustments to improve design.

Document test procedures and results, providing detailed reports for review.

Innovation and Improvement

Stay updated with the latest advancements in engineering and design technologies.

Identify opportunities for innovation and contribute to the development of new design methodologies and tools.

Continuously seek ways to improve design processes, efficiency, and product quality.

Quality Assurance

Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations for the semiconductor industry.

Participate in design reviews and quality assurance processes to maintain high standards.

Address any design‑related issues or discrepancies promptly and effectively.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate and comprehensive design documentation, including design specifications, test results, and project reports.

Ensure all design documentation is organized and easily accessible for future reference.

Support and Maintenance

Provide technical support for existing products, addressing any design‑related issues or improvements.

Assist in the development of maintenance procedures and troubleshooting guides.

Support manufacturing and production teams by resolving design‑related issues on the production floor.

Continuous Learning and Development

Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, incorporating new knowledge into design work.

Requirements

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing precise parts and components for the semiconductor industry.

Strong familiarity with standard engineering practices and procedures.

Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate engineering documentation.

High proficiency in CAD software e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD and other design tools.

Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Experience with semiconductor front‑end or backend processes.

Knowledge of advanced materials and coatings used in semiconductor applications.

Familiarity with manufacturing processes for precision components and consumables.

Proven experience in project management and cross‑functional teamwork.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
