Responsibilities

  • Review consolidated Slope Maintenance Budget for top priority locations.
  • Monitor budget utilization to avoid cost overruns.
  • Manage slope defects/complaints timely to meet satisfaction.
  • Evaluate defective slope locations for repair prioritization.
  • Propose work plans and recommend consultancy services.
  • Oversee and review slope maintenance works and audits.
  • Evaluate Contractor’s performance related to slope matters.
  • Coordinate with Network Maintenance Management for feedback.
  • Ensure timely commencement and completion of slope works.
  • Resolve issues affecting work progress with stakeholders.
  • Engage stakeholders on potential slope risk mitigation.
  • Review designs submitted for project development compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Review the consolidated Slope Maintenance Budget to ensure that sufficient fund is allocated for top priority locations.
  • Review and monitor the budget utilization to ensure there is no cost overrun and it is within the approved budget.
  • Review and monitor the list of slope defects/complaints from all stakeholders, analyse the condition and ensure the defects/complaints is managed in a timely manner whilst meeting the internal and external customers’ satisfaction.
  • Evaluate and review the identified defective slope locations for repair based on defect prioritization and to ensure asset condition preservation.
  • Review and monitor the work programme, method of repair (based on specification and guidelines), propose work plan as well as recommend consultancy services for slope maintenance to obtain Management’s approval.
  • Oversee and review all the slope maintenance works as well as review MIT audit findings and spot checks on slope maintenance repair and upgrading works to ensure timely maintenance intervention and it is in accordance to governmental acts, specification and guideline.
  • Evaluate and review Contractor’s performance for slope related matters and issues so as to ensure works are carried out smoothly with minimal disruptions to operations.
  • Collaborate and coordinate communication with Network Maintenance Management and contractors to obtain feedback on technical and financial aspects.
  • Monitor the slope work orders and projects issued by Head Office and to ensure that the commencement and completion of the works are within the stipulated time.
  • Review, evaluate and troubleshoot the issues highlighted that affect the progress of works via engaging relevant stakeholders to resolve the issues.
  • Review, evaluate and engage with related stakeholder on the potential risk related to slope matters along expressway such as potential threat towards the mainline from upper catchment areas to ensure proper risk mitigation and minimal disruption to the safety and operations.
  • Review the design submitted by third parties for project development, upgrading of existing Rest and Service Area/Layby/New Interchanges to ensure it complies with PLUS specifications and operational requirements.
  • Manage and monitor the development and enhancement of Real Time Monitoring System along the North-South Expressway, monitor, review and analyse rainfall data in relation to potential landslide/slope failures and flooding within the ROW to ensure minimal disruption to the safety and operations.
Qualifications
  • At least a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of experience in Road Engineering field including 3 to 5 years in managerial experience
