Job summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

Work assigned is not limited to the job scope listed below and may be assigned to another function based on the workload and requirement:

  • Lead the development of AI Governance Framework and Guidelines to be adopted enterprise wide.
  • Ensure adherence to defined data governance and AI governance policies and standards, maintaining the integrity, quality, and ethical use of data and AI systems to support organizational objectives.
  • Support the operationalization and continuous improvement of Data Governance and AI Governance frameworks, including policy, process, and control implementation.
  • Drive adoption of responsible AI principles and ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements related to data and AI.
  • Lead the team in conducting AI Risk and Impact Assessments (AIRA) to ensure AI solutions are transparent, fair, and accountable.
  • Coordinate governance initiatives and promote data-driven culture and responsible AI practices across the organization.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead, coordinate, and monitor the execution of Data Governance and AI Governance initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and regulatory expectations.
  • Drive the development and implementation of data and AI governance frameworks, operating models, risk assessment and monitoring of AI projects.
  • Lead and conduct AI Risk and Impact Assessments for AI use cases and solutions to identify ethical, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Develop and maintain AI governance tools such as risk assessment templates, mitigation control checklists, and AI registry documentation.
  • Collaborate with the AI Governance Committee, AI Risk Assessment Group, and other stakeholders in reviewing and approving AI use cases.
  • Support the development, review, and enhancement of Data Governance & AI Governance policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure continuous compliance and relevance.
  • Monitor and report on the maturity, adoption, and effectiveness of data and AI governance practices.
  • Coordinate readiness activities for audits, risk reviews, and regulatory inspections related to data and AI governance.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to build understanding and accountability for Data Governance & AI governance requirements.
  • Identify process and control improvements to strengthen data and AI governance maturity.
  • Streamline and integrate AI Governance processes with existing Data Governance processes to ensure alignment and avoid redundancy
  • Benchmark internal practices against industry standards and recommend enhancements to align with evolving governance and compliance needs.
  • Coordinate and monitor projects and initiatives under the Data Governance Implementation Roadmap, reporting progress and outcomes to relevant committees and forums (e.g., Data Stewards Working Group, Data Governance Committee).
  • Plan and design change management programs to promote awareness of Data Governance and AI practices enterprise-wide, ensuring continuous engagement with EPF personnel at all levels.
  • Act as the secretariat for Data Governance committees, coordinating meetings, initiatives, and communication.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Information Management, or other related qualifications which are recognized by the Government from any local or abroad higher learning institution.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in areas of data governance, AI governance, data management, data quality management, data security, data analytics and business analyst
  • Strong understanding of AI ethics, AI lifecycle management, data management frameworks, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement, and governance program implementation.
  • Good experience in Microsoft Office (Words, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Good analytical skills, meticulous and able to work independently.
  • Team player with strong communication and good interpersonal skill.
  • Results-oriented, fast-paced, resourceful and proactive.
  • Resilient and able to deliver under pressure.
  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Obtain a pass in Bahasa Melayu, including an oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
