Deputy Head of SME Business Relationship

The Deputy Head of SME Business Relationship plays a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Business Relations to achieve the company’s growth objectives. Acting as one of the second‑in‑command, this role provides leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight to ensure effective business development, strong client relationships, and alignment with the company’s long‑term vision.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head in managing the Business Relationship Department, ensuring team alignment with company goals.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop team members to increase departmental capabilities.
  • Develop strategies and recruit Relationship Managers to enter new markets or industry segments.
  • Work with sales, operations, and credit teams to structure financing solutions and credit risk framework that address client needs.
  • Contribute to the development of annual business plans, budgets, and performance targets.
  • Ensure all business development activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Assess risks in potential business deals and escalate concerns to the Head and senior management.
  • Prepare reports and recommendations for management review.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • At least 8–12 years of experience in business relations, corporate banking, project financing, or client management.
  • Experience in managing teams and overseeing large‑scale business development initiatives.
  • Strong track record in building and sustaining long‑term client relationships.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical thinker with commercial awareness and risk management capabilities.
  • Demonstrates a strong determination to achieve goals and overcome challenges.
